Butterfly Complex Regional Development (Pro- Cserehat Association), a Hungarian non- profit organization is seeking partners for a Strategic Partnership to apply for ERASMUS+ funding of the European Union in the 2014- 2020 funding period.

Type of partners
• Non- governmental organizations
• Educational institutes or faculties
• Municipalities

Prospective partners should have experience with at least one of the following subjects: sustainable development, organic farming, community based local development, representation of minority groups, non- formal adult education, peer-to-peer learning, practice based (non- classroom) higher education.

All prospective partners are required to be able to communicate in English.

Project target group
The project has a wide scale of target groups:
• rural communities
• coworkers of rural municipalities
• university students of social, environmental and agricultural disciplines
• young professionals or teachers from social, environmental and agricultural disciplines

Brief project description
In the center of the project is a micro- regional planning workshop in Borsod county of Hungary with the aim to develop possible complex developmental plans. The workshop will take place during a week with the involvement of international and Hungarian university students in form of a summer course. Students and mentors will map recent sociological, economic and environmental state of the region and with the active involvement of local stakeholders will develop several development plans to be presented to inhabitants and decision makers of the region. Among with the planning activity, the project will also include skills building required for sustainable, community based development for decision makers and activation of local communities through community building activities. Workshops will be for stakeholder groups separately, as well as in form of village forums. We plan also to organize study trips to surrounding countries with good practices of community- based, sustainable development.

In this form, the main goal of the project will be to develop and test the methodology of an interdisciplinary, community- based rural developmental know- how.
